Because they will never be this little again.
Hold on to this chapter.
BATON ROUGE NEWBORN & CHILDREN’S PHOTOGRAPHER SPECIALIZING IN TIMELESS BABY PORTRAITURE.
I know being in front of the camera may be the last thing on your mind right now. You just had a baby. You're tired, you're adjusting, and you may not feel quite like yourself yet.
But one day, your baby will look for you in these photographs, too.
I'll guide you through every little thing — where to stand, how to hold your baby and how to make it all feel natural. You don't have to know what to do, and you certainly don't have to feel photo-ready.
You just have to be there.
Mama, you belong in these too.
Your baby may be the reason we're here, but they're arriving in the middle of a story that's already being written.
When family portraits are included in your collection, we'll make space for the people who belong in this chapter too — Mama, Dad, big brothers and sisters. I'll keep things simple, relaxed and gently guided, so no one needs to know what to do in front of the camera.
And if an older sibling has absolutely no interest in my plans? That's okay, too. We'll meet them where they are and create something that feels like your family.
Their first family portrait.
These aren't just photographs of your baby. They're part of your family's history.
Your photographs deserve to live beyond your phone.
Digital images are wonderful. They're easy to share, easy to save and, if we're being honest, where most of our photographs spend their lives.
But I believe the ones that matter most deserve more.
Every newborn collection includes heirloom artwork because I want you to leave with something tangible — something you can hold, display in your home and eventually place into the hands of the little person in these photographs.
Years from now, they won't care how many likes their newborn portrait received.
They'll care that you kept it.
Ready to hold on to this chapter?
Your baby's first portraits aren't just for right now. They're the photographs you'll pull out years from now and still remember exactly how small they once felt in your arms.
Newborn collections begin at $499, with most families investing $799–$1,200 in their finished experience.
Collections are thoughtfully designed to give you the freedom to choose what matters most to your family, from beautifully finished digital images to heirloom artwork created to live beyond your phone.
Flexible payment options are available, because preserving this chapter shouldn't have to happen all at once.
The investment.
Your proofing gallery will be ready within one week of your session, giving you the opportunity to choose the images you love most for your collection.
Once your selections are made, I'll put the finishing touches on each chosen portrait. Your fully edited gallery will be ready within one additional week.
When will we receive our photographs?
Can parents and siblings be photographed too?
Do I need to bring anything?
What if my baby doesn't sleep or is fussy?
What if my baby is already here?
When should I reserve my newborn session?
Absolutely. Family and sibling portraits are available with select newborn photography collections. I'll guide everyone through the process so you don't need to worry about posing — and yes, that includes big siblings who have their own ideas about how the morning should go.
I've got the pretty stuff covered. My Watson studio is stocked with a carefully curated collection of wraps, textures, props and accessories for your session. Once you're booked, I'll also help you prepare so you know exactly what to bring and what to expect.
Then we'll let them be a baby. There is no expectation that your little one will arrive sleepy and ready for photos. Sessions are baby-led, with plenty of time for feeding, changing, soothing and snuggling. Some of my favorite portraits happen in the moments we never could have planned.
Reach out! Newborns are typically photographed around two weeks old, but that doesn't mean you've missed your chance. Depending on baby's age and my availability, we may still be able to create a beautiful newborn gallery.
The earlier, the better. Most families reserve their newborn session during pregnancy so I can plan for your little one's arrival. We'll reserve your place on my calendar using your due date, then schedule your actual session once baby is here.
