One of my favorite times is the sitter stage, usually around 6–9 months when baby is sitting independently.

How far in advance should I book my baby’s milestone session?

I recommend reaching out several weeks in advance, especially for first birthday sessions. Booking early gives us plenty of time to plan wardrobe, styling and all the little details that make your baby’s session feel beautifully put together.

What should my baby wear?

You don’t have to have the perfect outfit figured out—I have that covered.

My client wardrobe includes a curated collection of classic pieces selected specifically for milestone portraits. We’ll choose something that photographs beautifully and keeps the focus right where it belongs—on your baby.

You’re always welcome to bring something special from home, too.

Either way, we’ll make sure your baby is beautifully styled for their session.

Where are milestone sessions held?

All milestone and first birthday sessions take place in my studio in Watson, Louisiana. I photograph families throughout Baton Rouge, Denham Springs, Walker, Central, Prairieville, Gonzales, Livingston Parish, Ascension Parish and surrounding South Louisiana communities.

What is included in a first birthday session?

First birthday sessions begin with beautiful, classic portraits of your baby. Cake smash and bubble bath portraits can also be included, giving us a gallery filled with everything from timeless images to the wonderfully messy moments that make turning one so much fun.

What is a sitter session?

A sitter session is designed for babies who can sit independently but aren’t quite on the move yet, typically around 6–9 months. It’s one of my favorite stages to photograph because babies are still wonderfully little, but their personalities are beginning to shine.
